SLOW FOOD METRO NORTH LEADERSHIP

Donna Simons is the chair of SFMN and owner of Pound Ridge Organics Farm and Food Co-Op, providing nourishing organic and ethically produced food to consumers and restaurants throughout the Metro North region. With a background in visual and culinary arts, as well as expertise in ethical animal husbandry, Donna, an inspiring educator and presenter, brings a wealth of life experience to the table. She has earned numerous awards and accreditations for her work including being the first and only farm in Westchester to be certified Animal Welfare Approved Donna has recently established a small-scale hatchery through which she provides 100% certified heritage birds; several of the breeds are included in the Slow Food Ark Of Taste catalog.

Jeff Cordulack is the Executive Director of the Northeast organic farming Association of Connecticut. He is a CT native interested in biodiversity, organic farming, and sustainable living for all. He has a BS Degree in Natural Resources Management and Conservation Biology from Colorado State University. Prior to CT NOFA, he worked with the National Audubon Society in Greenwich, CT for ten years; with SoundWaters, Inc. in Stamford for eight years; and often collaborates with other conservation organizations.

Steve Wolfe, treasurer, is Chief Financial Officer at Inspirica, a not for profit located in Stamford, CT. As CFO, Steve supervises the Finance, Budgeting, and Payroll Functions.  He has more than 35 years of experience in both the for profit and not for profit world.  He is a New York Certified CPA who has earned both his BS in Accounting and MBA in General Business from the University of Connecticut. 

Carla Marina Marchese is the founder of the beloved brand Red Bee Honey and the author of HONEYBEE: Lessons from an Accidental Beekeeper and co-author, with Kim Flottum (editor of Bee Culture Magazine) of The Honey Connoisseur: Selecting, Tasting, and Pairing Honey. She is a member of the Italian National Register of Experts in the Sensory Analysis of Honey which led her to establish The American Honey Tasting Society (AHTS). Marina has worked with The Good Food Awards, Museum of Food and Drink (MOFAD) CIA at Greystone and the National Honey Board.
