Volunteer

Slow Food Metro North works to create a food system based on the principles of high quality and taste, environmental sustainability, and social justice—in essence, a food system that is good, clean and fair. We seek to move our local region towards the cultural, social, health, and economic benefits of a sustainable food system, regional food traditions, and the pleasure of the table.

We are the members of Slow Food who live in Westchester NY, Fairfield CT and Putnam County NY.  We, the members of Slow Food Metro North, designate a steering committee to represent us and to run the chapter's events and affairs. Slow Food Metro North is entirely organized and run by volunteers—drawing talent, expertise, and ambition from our community.

Contact us at metronorthny@slowfoodusa.org to learn more about volunteering at events, joining a committee, or supporting in a leadership position at our chapter.
